Volunteer Design: Logo Vectorization

Having recently discovered Catchafire, a platform designed to connect nonprofits in need with various creative talents, I’ve had the enormous pleasure of working with a few incredible organizations in a volunteer capacity.

I previously discussed my rewarding design work for Haven for Hope, serving clients experiencing homelessness in San Antonio. Recently, the Director of Communications for this important nonprofit reached out to see if I could help with another design project.

I was tasked with recreating a very small, low-resolution image—transforming it into a scaleable, high-resolution, crisp image and converting it to a variety of formats for use in a myriad of marketing efforts.

I helped the organization save an estimated $3,002 in creative service fees, allowing them to use their limited funds to focus on other strategic projects.

I received the following feedback upon completing the project:

“I was fortunate to work with Stephanie on another project a couple of months ago, so when she applied for this project, we jumped on it! Stephanie finished the project in record time and was very helpful in answering my questions!” – Terri B., Director of Communications, Haven for Hope

Below you can see the original raster logo, delivered to me as 200 pixels wide, and the recreated, fully scaleable vector image I produced.
